Frequently Asked Questions
•What is the part number for the pressure switch on this model?
You'll need the model number of the washer to find the exact part number. Look on the appliance itself. Once you have the model number, you can use an online parts retailer to find the correct pressure switch.
•How do I test the pressure switch with a multimeter?
Disconnect the pressure switch. Set your multimeter to measure resistance (Ohms). With the tub empty, measure the resistance between the common terminal and the normally open terminal. It should read open (OL). When you gently blow into the pressure switch hose connection, the switch should close, and the meter should read near zero Ohms.
•Where is the MCU located in this Whirlpool washer?
The MCU is typically located behind the control panel at the top of the washer. You will likely need to remove the control panel to access it. Be careful when disconnecting the wiring harness from the MCU.
