Frequently Asked Questions
•What is the RTD sensor resistance range if the oven is already warm?
The resistance of the RTD sensor will increase as the temperature rises. Consult the oven's service manual for the temperature/resistance chart. Typically, a warm oven will have an RTD resistance between 1200-1600 ohms.
•How do I access the EOC to test the wiring harness connection?
Accessing the EOC usually involves removing the oven's control panel. Disconnect power first! Typically, screws secure the panel to the oven frame. Once the screws are removed, carefully detach the panel, being mindful of any wiring connections. You may need a 1/4-inch nut driver.
•If the RTD sensor tests good, is it safe to assume the EOC board is bad?
Not necessarily. Double-check the wiring harness from the RTD sensor to the EOC board. Look for any breaks, shorts, or loose connections. Use a multimeter to check for continuity. A faulty wiring harness can mimic a bad EOC. Only after confirming the wiring is good should you suspect the EOC.
