Frequently Asked Questions
•What type of vibration-dampening material is best to use between the range and the countertop?
Felt pads, rubber strips, or closed-cell foam are all effective options. Choose a material that is heat-resistant and won't degrade over time. Ensure it doesn't interfere with ventilation.
•How do I determine if the vibration is coming from the cooling fan?
Remove the lower access panel and visually inspect the fan while the range is operating. Listen closely to the fan's noise and check for any signs of imbalance or loose mounting screws. The fan usually runs after cooktop is turned off, or during high-heat oven operation.
•What is the proper clearance required around the GE Café induction range?
Refer to the installation manual for the specific model. Generally, there should be at least 30 inches of clearance between the top of the cooktop and an unprotected cabinet. Sides may require a minimum of 0 inches clearance when installed next to base cabinets. Rear clearance is specified in the installation manual.
