Frequently Asked Questions
•What are the common failure points on the inverter board?
The IGBTs, capacitors, and diodes are the most common failure points on the inverter board.
•How do I safely discharge a capacitor in the power supply?
Use a resistor (1k ohm, 5 watt) to slowly discharge the capacitor. Connect the resistor leads to the capacitor terminals until the voltage reads 0V DC with a multimeter.
•What is the acceptable inductance range for the induction coil?
Refer to the service manual for the specific inductance range for your model. Generally, it will be in the microhenry (uH) range. A deviation of more than 10% from the specified value indicates a faulty coil.
