Frequently Asked Questions
•How do I test the float switch with a multimeter?
Disconnect the float switch wires. Set your multimeter to continuity test mode. When the float is down, the switch should be open (no continuity). When you manually lift the float, the switch should close (continuity).
•What voltage should I expect at the Leak Protect sensor connector?
Typically, you should see a low DC voltage, around 5V DC, between the sensor wires when the dishwasher is powered on. This voltage is used to detect the change in resistance when the sensor is triggered.
•If the control board is faulty, can it be repaired or does it need to be replaced?
It depends on the specific fault. Minor issues, such as a burned-out relay, can sometimes be repaired by a qualified electronics technician. However, if the MCU is damaged or the board is severely corroded, replacement is usually the more reliable option.
