Frequently Asked Questions
•How do I test the flood sensor with a multimeter?
Disconnect the sensor wires. Set your multimeter to the continuity setting (ohm symbol). With the float in the down position (no water), you should read an open circuit (no continuity). Manually lift the float. The multimeter should now show continuity (a reading near 0 ohms).
•What could cause water to accumulate in the base pan if there are no obvious leaks?
Condensation can sometimes accumulate, especially in humid environments. Also, a small, slow leak from a pump seal or valve may not be immediately apparent but can eventually fill the pan. Internal overfilling can also cause water to spill into the pan.
•Where is the water inlet valve located and how do I access it?
The water inlet valve is usually located at the bottom of the dishwasher, behind the lower access panel. You may need to remove a metal shield or bracket to access it. Disconnect the power and water supply before inspecting or replacing the valve. Check for leaks around the valve body and connections.
