•How do I know if my suspension rods are bad?
Visually inspect the rods for any signs of damage, such as cracks, bends, or breaks. Compare the resistance of each rod. If they are significantly different or are obviously damaged, they need to be replaced.
•What tools do I need to replace the suspension rods?
You will typically need a Phillips head screwdriver, a flathead screwdriver, pliers, and potentially a 1/4-inch or 5/16-inch nut driver or socket set depending on the fastener type.
•The washer still shakes after replacing the suspension rods. What else could be the problem?
Check the tub dampening straps (if equipped), the leveling feet, and the balance ring on top of the inner tub. A worn-out drive block can also cause shaking during spin.
