•How do I access the oven temperature sensor in my Amana oven model?
Typically, you can access the oven temperature sensor by removing the oven racks and then unscrewing the sensor from the rear of the oven cavity. Some models may require removing a rear access panel from the outside of the oven.
•What type of oven temperature sensor does my Amana oven use: RTD or thermistor, and how can I tell?
Most Amana ovens use an RTD sensor. You can usually confirm by looking at the sensor's part number on the sensor itself. If you find the oven's service manual or parts list, that information should also be there. Also, a Thermistor resistance usually drops with heat while an RTD's resistance increases with heat.
•Where is the Electronic Oven Control (EOC) / Main Control Unit (MCU) located in my Amana oven?
The EOC is typically located behind the control panel at the top front of the oven. You'll need to disconnect power and then remove the control panel to access it.
